This band is supreme at a post-rock level during this time. Their sound is glorious that defines championship winning moments to their music. Wander is a blend of post-rock, shoegaze, midwestern emo, and pinch of math rock. Love this band so much and is my favorite current post-rock band. They are the best contemporary post-rock band to this date.

This album is a powerful ode to loss, sorrow and sacrifice. It is also an incredibly beautiful album that showcases the emotional power of great music. I have recently lost two close family members and Departure Songs wordlessly articulates the aching sense of anguish that I have felt. An incredible, majestic achievement.
